Account of My struggle with Kidney Stone.

During all my struggle with Kidney stone - I promised myself that I will share most of the important things with everyone whom I care for and hence this blog. :)

It was somewhere in the Middle of 2013 when I first felt the pain on the lower right back side of torso - which I ignored completely once the pain vanished - and hence was not able to detect the Kidney stone on time.

Anyways, I kept on with my routine lifestyle  i.e. Work - Sleep - Run (Sometimes) :)

It was night of 27th April this year, when the worst Pain stuck me - I was breathless - it lasted for 6 Hours - Pain touched new heights during those 6 hours - worst part, as the pain vanished I mistook it to another stomach pain and asked doctor for stomach relief - Missed to detect it again.

But this time it came back faster and it was in May,14, when I was consulted to go for ultrasonography and X-Ray which detected a 8 mm stone in my right Kidney - which moved to right Ureter almost 80% and was stuck.

My Consultant told me that it needs to be operated - but after he disclosed the procedure - I asked him what are the chances that this stone will come out on it's own - it was 15% - but obviously I chose to go with 15% ;)

Following are the things which I brought in my lifestyle to help the stone come out on its own [which never happened though];
  • Drink Plenty of Water [2-4 Ltrs - Everyday]
  • Lemon Juice
  • Butter Milk
  • Kulthi / Kulath [Horsegram Lentils]
Medication:
  • Pain killers - To counter sudden pain [Consult your doctor]
  • Calcury - by Charak
  • Livoflox - For Infection control
Apart from this I searched Internet for all possible options available.

The only wrong choice I made was to stop running - which elongated the whole process - Big Mistake.

Oh, I forgot to mention that during 2013 and till the point the stone was detected, I ran Half - Marathon as well [21.09 KMs] :)

In Oct,14 , I met with an accident and luckily no damage was done except for I broke my helmet badly [Please wear helmet :)], and during my bed rest - The stone pain troubled me again - this is when I promised myself that If it resurfaces again I will get rid of it.

On 11th Oct, 14, I was operated for Kidney Stone - intracorporeal lithotripsy - not so good experience - but during the whole process I was thinking only about one thing - no matter what - I will Run again :)

But due to some reason - there was 'DJ Stent' placed inside me for 21 days and on Nov, 14 it was removed with all the honours :)

And on 14th Nov, I ran again - and it was beautiful - though only for a while.

Live - Love - Run - While you can - Stay Blessed

My bit for Green Peace!

I have a heard a lot about global warming and it's after effects on climate change. It is quite visible that nature is now behaving violently.
In India itself we can see that Monsoon is not following normal patterns. Global Warming and Climate change are becoming hot topic to discuss by everyone on any kind of forums.
I too was thinking of doing something so as to contribute my bit. I subscribed Indian Express instead of TOI as they were the only ones which were using recycled papers, but the content was not upto the mark in comparison to TOI, So it didn't worked.
I read a lot about the possible reasons for global warming on internet and found out that the main cause for global warming is the activities of man that has lead to an increase in the so called greenhouse gases which include carbon dioxide, methane, nitrogen oxide etc. the gases have created an effect of green house on the earths surface which prevents the reflection of the rays from sun and thus causes the increase in temperature. Carbon dioxide concentration in the air has increased due to the emissions from cars, airplanes, power plants, industries etc.
I somewhere read that Money Plant is a household plant which can be grown easily in any place and is helpful in reducing CO2 levels and is also efficient at removing indoor pollutants such as formaldehyde, xylene, and benzene.
It is never too late for doing your bit to prevent global warming.

Personal view about ‘Kaminey’ (Rascals!) ;)

Taking into consideration that I watched a movie in theater after ‘Dev D’, it can be understood that I would have enjoyed it anyways :p. Whatever, I liked the movie because I love ‘Piggy chops’ J. She is awesome in this movie too. ;)

Vishal Bhardwaj has done a great job in this movie. The movie is all about twins (Shahid kapoor), who are totally different in their lifestyle but somehow connected. They both have speaking problem. J The whole movie revolves around a ‘Guitar’. It has lots of violence, drama, Comic dialogues by Charlie (“Favere Favere agar koi ufka chehra dekh le toh faam tak maeyat pakki famjho”) etc. etc. This movie is full of entertainment. As in all Hindi movies, this movie also has a Happy Ending.

The director has also touched sensitive issues like ‘outsiders’ in Mumbai. He has shown that ‘Life is all about choices we make, even if we don’t make a choice, that will also be counted as a choice’.

Overall, a very nice movie to watch. Dhan tana naan!!! J

Interview @ L & T

It was 5 AM in the morning, and my mobile alarm was crying out loud to wake me up. I woke up and saw that my dad was also knocking my door to remind me that I have to go for a interview in L & T at Baroda... While I was leaving for baroda, I thought, who would go for a Interview in Baroda city for a sales position at Vapi, but as soon as I reached there at 10 AM, I saw hell lot of crowd was gathered on the ground floor of L & T office, all for the same post. Anyways I went Upstairs for GD which consist of 8 persons and all where having Engineering background except me. The topic was about 'Television a boon or bane for the society' and 5 minutes were given, and the funny thing was only one person was discussing with me, rest didnt spoke at all, So was selected for Second round. Nothing happened after second round, and I dont understand how can a person can complete engineering without learning english, as one of the person in GD said that he cant speak in English. I came outside the building and thought to have tea before coming back to ahmedabad as all my friends who were in baroda are in Ahmedabad for work. I was having tea, suddenly I saw three Police vans, a 108 ambulance and a firebrigade came near the nearby building. I though who is so important than Modi in gujarat who got so much of attention??... then someone came from that building and said that some thief has gone inside one of the office and locked himself inside and poured petrol inside the office. The policeman were ready as if they were going to face a terrorist inside. I returned to ahmedabad by 3 PM, but while returning I was thinking about 3 things in particular,
1) When you have 5 Minutes, 7 Engineers and only one decision maker, than speak as much as you can, because Discussions cant even get started in 5 minutes.;)
2) A Police Van, a ambulance and a Fire brigade are not always meant for Ministers.
3) You can complete your engineering in gujarat without learning english.;).
Always carry a pen and a paper, you Might get a story of your lifetime.:)
